Gift Parade…

A Happy New Year to all our readers.

Now the holidays are long gone I’m able to share with you all 7 knits I made as gifts for some of my family members this year, I no longer have to keep them secret!

I’ve made a little collage of all the knits, with the pattern and yarn names. Some I just made up myself and are my own design. I’m thinking of turning the wobbly scarf into a little free pattern, let me know in the comments if this might be a good idea!

Deann is very quiet as she has been working in a new job which is taking up most of her time and I’m also a little quiet. I’m taking a bit of time out from designing and concentrating on my other work and family things for a bit. But we’ll post as and when we can.

I am still knitting though! Here’s something I’m working on right now, I started it months ago. It’s a vest top using my tapestry colourwork pattern. I hope to get this one done in the next few weeks, if I get enough time! It’s coming out ok, I like using a long colour change yarn like this one (King Cole Riot DK, colourway: Urban) along with a solid in stranded knits. I’ve paired it with a yarn with tweedy flecks in it (King Cole Moods DK) rather than a total solid colour, to give it a bit more interest and see how that looks.
