Pattern Releases: Festive Bottlers!

posted in: Uncategorized | 2

I am so happy to show you these little characters! They are something I’ve had in my mind for a while and I managed to get them done and the patterns released well in time for knitting them up for the upcoming festive season. I hope you will like them!

Festive Bottlers

These are my little “Festive Bottlers”. What are they? They are decorations/ornaments, all of which recycle a 500ml plastic water bottle to make the shape. The bottle is cut off at the bottom, so they can be used as tree toppers, as place settings to hide small gifts under, or just as cute seasonal character decorations which will stand up well and not fall over!¬†They are based on my original Angel topper I made for my family’s Christmas tree a couple of years ago. So many people loved her and asked for the pattern, but I hadn’t had time to recreate her and come up with the others until now. But I am glad I did it this year :-)

They are very fun to make and the patterns range in difficulty, Snowman is the easiest, so he’s great to start with, and Santa and Angel use more intermediate techniques, which are not difficult, and fun to learn on small pieces like these. I have included full photo tutorials for some of the trickier parts (such as Angel’s hair, where I show you how to make that look like mine, step by step).

Each of the single patterns is ¬£2.99, linked below. I am offering a 3 for 2 on these patterns until 1st December, so if you want to have the whole set then you can save a little bit. To get the offer, click on “add to cart” for each pattern, and then the discount will be applied automatically before checkout.

I enjoy them so much that I’ve decided to make these a little knitting tradition for me and come up with three new characters each festive season, so there will be more patterns to look forward to next November!

Love these! They are great and look so pretty with their snowy, nighttime backdrop. Looks like they are lighting up the evening with their lovely glow. I look forward to making these and seeing the new ones each year :D
