FO Alert! Welsh Tapestry Socks

Happy Friday!

So here’s a design you’ve seen me working on a bit over the past weeks. I finished them up and the pattern is being tested right now for release later this month, all going well.

These are my Welsh Tapestry Socks! They are made in worsted weight yarn and are quick to knit. They make cosy relaxed house socks, I’ve been enjoying wearing mine.

The colourwork design is one I first used in a bag pattern, and it was inspired by fabric accessories dating from the 1960’s in quite fun colours that I’d seen while looking for vintage goodies on ebay. I really liked the bold look of the woven fabric pieces and decided to use it in a knitting pattern.

I’m also working on a hat design to add to this design series, coming soon too!

It’s really autumnal now here in Scotland so apart from needing to keep my feet warm, and enjoying cuddling up a little with my knitting and crochet, I’ve been able to get some nice pictures of the autumn landscape, I thought I’d share my two favourites with you from a recent walk. Hope you like them! Just click on those to enlarge them if you want a better look.

These are great, Ellen. I love my pair that I made. I wore them in bed the other night as it was freezing here and my feet soon warmed up. :)
