Pattern Release – Deann Hat & Mitts

posted in: Uncategorized | 1

Good Monday!

I have some really great news this morning, the hats and mitts, that you’ve seen me working on, watched me block on balloons etc. Well…the patterns are finally released! I ran test knits on all of these, with lots of participants, so of course that took a while, and I did a little bit of fine-tuning of the patterns (but not too much was needed, woot!). Plus I sent all the hats and mitts over to the US for Deann and her family, as of course the pattern is named after her and I couldn’t leave the rest of the family out!

Once everything was safely received, they all very kindly modelled the designs for me, so you can see how they work in every size from small to large and in both styles!

There are two style options to knit in each pattern, one a little more fancy with mitt cuffs and hat brim band decorated with buttons, and the other more minimal, but still packed with texture. I think my key theme this autumn is definitely texture! So here are the stars of today’s posting (and my knits of course..!).

Introducing, Deann Hat!

Here’s the link to purchase on Ravelry, where you can also favourite it with a heart or click the “projects” tab and see the test knits

And because it’s great to have a matching set like my lovely models here, also introducing Deann Mitts!

Here’s the Ravelry link for the mitt pattern too.

These have all taken a few months to perfect, and I’ve put a lot of hard work into them, so I’m very happy to finally be able to say these two patterns are done, and unleash them!

Of course Deann has played a big part in her namesake designs, not only modelling them and creating these beautiful photos, but the usual editing and checking things over for me, and I’ve had great support from all the lovely test knitters who gave their time and helpful feedback, plus lots of uplifting encouragement from many knitting friends. A great team effort!

I hope you will enjoy my Autumn designs 🙂
