Happy Weekend all!
I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as much recently, I have been really busy with 3 new patterns, two of which will be out imminently so I’ll be able to show you them properly in the next day or so, and one which I’m getting ready for testing, so those have been taking my attention.
But as well as those I’ve managed to finish up a couple of projects, so I thought I’d show you them today!
This is the first one. This is a pair of mittens, made in super bulky yarn, so they were very quick to work up. They are knit in the round and I used really fat dpns to do mine!
The yarn is Rowan Drift, one that I like but has been discontinued for a while now, this was my last remaining ball! Luckily it was enough to make both mittens!
This was a test knit that I did for another designer, who had very kindly tested a shawl pattern for me last year, so I was returning the favour.
The pattern is now out and is Skoosh Mittens by Wee Sandy. She also has a matching hat pattern. You can find the mittens pattern for sale on Ravelry here
The second project I’ve finished up is also a test knit! This time for our very own Deann. We’ve been working on her pretty headband pattern, which is decorated with pearls.
This one I made in Rowan Lima, another one I had in my stash with just a partial ball left and it was the right amount for this project. So not only have I been able to help out by testing patterns, but I’ve been able to stash bust a little at the same time!
I love those little leaves at the end of the ties, great detail! The pictures above my camera seemed to catch the yarn a little bluer than it actually is, but I took some more photos with it on my head and these ones below are more true to the colour.
You can see how you can wear it two ways, depending on which way round you want to tie it.
Anyway so that’s part of the reason I’ve been a little quiet, trying to get these tests done as well as my own patterns in progress!
