Tracy and me at Longhorn Steakhouse in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Last weekend I went out to lunch with my friend Tracy and her mom for their birthday, and I got a present!¬†Tracy and I met in high school and have been friends ever since. We try to keep up with each other but lately have both been very busy and haven’t seen each other so it was especially good too see her and her mom this last week.

We ate at Longhorn Steakhouse in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I had the French Onion Soup and 7-Pepper Steak Salad. Both are very good selections if you happen to have Longhorn nearby, or go to one. The French Onion Soup is the best I have tried anywhere and I love the seasoning rub that they use on the 7-Pepper Steak.

To top it off, she brought me some very nice yarn!

This one is a very nice, soft, and fuzzy yarn by Moda Dea called Cutesie.
This one is a very nice, soft, and fuzzy yarn by Moda Dea called Cutesie. It is 100% Nylon, bulky weight and has 46 yards. It should make a cute baby hat, I think.
This one is a Hobby Lobby brand that I have used before, Sweet Delight baby yarn by Baby Bee.
This one is a Hobby Lobby brand that I have used before, Sweet Delight baby yarn by Baby Bee. It is a lovely, very soft acrylic/nylon blend yarn, DK weight with 377 yards per skein. She gave me 4 skeins so I have 1508 yards to use!
Along with the yarn in the bag Tracy gave me, was this book by Kate Jacobs.
Along with the yarn in the bag Tracy gave me, was this book by Kate Jacobs. It is part of the Friday Night Knitting Club series and I haven’t read it yet. I did enjoy the first couple of books in the series and look forward to reading this one soon.

Don’t you love friends who know what you like and bring you presents to their birthday dinner? ;)

Also this past week, my mom and niece found me more sheep while at the Mission. I am not sure what I am going to do with all of these sheep, but they sure are cute!

As you can see, Stitch Geek kitty Twigs has struck again! She really loves my Phoenix cloths I knit, but not quite what to think about the new sheep. The big one is so soft and cuddly, and the little ones are round little critters.. so cute! I hope my craft room is ready soon so they will have a place to call home (along with all of my yarn, needles, hooks, and books!).

My dachshund Max decided he liked the big lamp and that it is a perfect napping buddy!

Cute presants! :) Maybe when u get around to reading the book u could give us a review? What will u make with the yarn? What did u give her for her birthday? Yes, your craft house will be super cool, ask John to hurry up and finish it. :D not sure if all of your yarn will fit in there though? U will probably have to build another one just for yarn. ;) Maybe on another blog u could show us the progress on the craft house? :)

Not sure what I will make with the yarn yet :) I do have lots of yarn I need to pair up with some patterns or ideas! :D
I will take pics when we start actually working on my craft haus.. right now it is full of everything while John finishes up his workshop. We should be able to move his tools and stuff out soon though.
