The 4th of July is Independence Day in the US. Independence Day is the national day in the US and a federal holiday, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. A lot of people celebrate with fireworks, barbecues, music fests, fairs, carnivals, and baseball games.
The kids and I will be going to a birthday party for one our friends, he is turning 12 tomorrow, and we are celebrating today with a cookout and cake at his house! Happy birthday Sebastian!
Before we head out, I thought I would share some patriotic patterns I came across on Ravelry. There are tons! If you would like more just put ‘patriotic’ or ‘4th of July’ in the search bar on Ravelry. Also, for those not in the US many of these could be adapted to be patriotic for your country by simply changing the colors.
This says it is a headband, but I think it would make cute bracelets. It is crocheted, to do a knit version simply knit an icord to the length you need, make 3 and intwine them. You can mix and match your colors too!
Make this rocket cloth for cleaning up those messy barbecue faces! You know the food is good when it is covering everyone’s face right? 🙂
If by chance it is still a bit cool where you are, then this pattern is perfect!
I’ve not done much hooking lately, but this adorable pattern makes me want to dig out my hooks!
For all of you sock knitting lovers out there!
For our Granny Crochet loving friend Barbara! 😀
For our little fur pals!
As some of you know, my mama loves all things Americana. I think I will have to add these to my list for her!
Happy knitting, crocheting, and 4th of July Everyone! I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend.
