Happy Memorial Day USA

posted in: Uncategorized | 2

Happy Memorial Day Everyone! Here in the US this weekend is a celebration and remembrance of those who have fought and died for our country. Today is a day that we generally gather with friends and family, have cookouts, watch fireworks and most of all remember those who are no longer with us.

Here are two very handsome fellas, Alan & Patriot, enjoying Memorial Day in their new pools. These two lovely alpacas belong to my cousin Deb who is also a knitter. She lives all the way up in Michigan, so I haven’t been able to see Alan & Patriot in person yet. I look forward to when we can go up and visit though, not just to see the alpacas either although that is a good incentive! We would also get to see Deb and all of her nice knitty stuff, and the rest of the family too, of course ;)

Looks like they are really enjoying the cool water!

I made this set for my mom. She loves all things Americana. Today I will be working on some towel hangers for her to match. I will take photos as I work and show how I make these once I have them finished. I have linked the patterns I used for the set pictured below. They are all free patterns on Ravelry and will look great in all colors.

:D They are cute aren’t they! Deb has another one named Buckley, but he doesn’t like pools. He prefers to make his humans spray him down with the water hose. I believe Deb said they were to be sheared in the next couple of weeks.
